Shipping dangerous goods by sea

Are you involved in the transport of dangerous goods? Since January 1st, 2010, you are required to follow a mandatory course on the IMDG code and the corresponding port regulations for dangerous goods.

This obligation applies in particular to all persons mentioned in the declarations of dangerous goods, either as responsible or as contact person.

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) wishes to limit the number of violations found during inspections of containers with dangerous goods and the resulting risks such as fire on board, environmental catastrophe, danger to human lives, etc.
